Closterotomus trivialis

A new arrival in Britain where it has been associated with the planted Hypericum hidcoteense ‘Hidcote’, but a pest of Olive crops in other parts of Europe. Native to the Mediterranean and first reported from London in 2009, this species has now been widely recorded in many parts of England and has probably been introduced multiple times in horticultural produce.

Often confused with Closterotomus fulvomaculatus…
