RED markers represent locations of people Tweeting NEGATIVE messages about Mosul, Iraq
Where there are a lot of Tweets from one location, I have spread them out over 1 mile radius (e.g. Tweets from “London”) so that the volume of Tweets can been seen.
I use VADER, a rule-based Parsimonious Rule-based Model forSentiment Analysis of Social Media Text to assess each Tweet for sentiment. VADER is described in a paper by Hutto, C.J. & Gilbert, E.E.
