market near Cusco, Peru

Local marketplace in a small town near Cusco. Nice to see some aspects of life in Peru that are not just sights for tourists. Most of the buyers were housewives, some with their children in tow. The range of different fruits and vegetables would have shamed most English supermarkets.

Although there were a  couple of stalls selling prepared chickens and cuts of meat, there were no signs of guinea pigs being sold. There were a few tourists, but most of the people in the market seemed to be locals.
