Travel 1939-1946

My father joined the British Army in 1939 and eventually volunteered for a posting to India. After spending a year on the Khyber Pass, he transferred into The Intelligence Corps and after a spell in India, moved to Burma to serve with the 14th Army. From there he flew to Saigon (September 1945). His final posting was to the Dutch Celebes - where he helped deal with a mutiny of Dutch troops. Finally, he retuned to the UK in a Lancaster bomber, via Jerusalem.
