After spending time in Namibia, the road took us across the border into South Africa and the Kalahari Game Reserve.

The road to the Reserve was dreadful - unlike the road that we could see on the other side of the border in Botswana.

The availability of game was poor and the Reserve did not appear to have been run as well as some of other reserves we have visited in South Africa.

The wild jackal that we met made us feel very welcome...even though it had half an eye on my son as potential lunch.
