My arrival in Istanbul after a long bus ride from Athens was a shock. Nothing could have prepared me for the noise and bustle of Istanbul’s bus station in the early morning.

Memories of Istanbul include magnificent mosques; fishermen on the Gallata Bridge; and the delights of the Pudding Shop.
