Iran 1922

In the period between the two world wars, my grandfather was a doctor in the British (Royal Army Medical Corps) and took several photographs in Persia - now Iran.

His photographs are not dated, but do describe where they were taken - possibly during the 1922 Mesopotamia campaign.

Above is a photograph of a fertile valley on the Russian road between Kagom and Hamadan and on the right a photograph of refugees near Hamadan.
