Christ the Saviour Cathedral

The incomplete Christ the Saviour Cathedral in Pristina,  Kosovo stands in what is a mainly Muslim county as a reminder that there is still much to be done to resolve the religious tensions that divide the region.

Started in 1995, it was supposed to be finished in 1999. During the war and since it has been the focus of attacks, graffiti and vandalism, and today remains standing and protected by the UN's principles and barbed wire.

 

 

NEWBORN is a typographic sculpture spelling the word "newborn", which was unveiled in Pristina on the Day of Kosovo's Declaration of Independence made on proclaimed earlier that day, 17 February 2008,

.NEWBORN is made of metal, weighs 9 tons, it is 3 meters high, 24 meters long and 1 meter deep.

NEWBORN is now the only monument that marks the Declaration of Independence of the Republic of Kosovo.
